Welcome to the Fraser Figure Skating Club
Located in Fraser, MI, the Fraser Figure Skating Club offers instruction in all styles of skating.
Fraser Figure Skating Club (FFSC) was formed in 1978, as a probationary club under the United States Figure Skating Association (USFS). In 1979 full membership was granted by the USFS and a great future was ahead.
The USFS is the governing body of amateur figure skating and figure skaters in the United States. Formed in 1921 with 7 members, the USFS now has 550 member clubs and over 200,000 skaters to its credit. The USFS belongs to the International Skating Union, which oversees all international competitions and guides it members through local, sectional, regional and national competitions. The local competitions open the door for skaters across the country to compete in world championships and even the Olympics, representing America.
Governed by the USFS Rulebook, Fraser FSC conducts regular test sessions to promote the level of their skaters. These same rules are applied to our competitions and other sanctioned events. A copy of the rule book is available for purchase through the USFS.
